Vietnam’s steel manufacturer Hoa Phat's prestressed steel has been selected for Phase 1 of the 121-km Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway project after passing stringent quality tests, including a 1,000-hour stress relaxation assessment, meeting US ASTM A416 quality standards.

The high-quality prestressed steel cables (PC strand) with a diameter of 12.7 mm and 15.24 mm produced on a modern European production line will be used in bridge girder structures of the expressway. Its high tensile strength and stable performance were key to its selection for the VND 14,300 billion Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project connecting Lang Son and Cao Bang.
