The 2026 Taiwan International Fastener Show opened today (April 22) in Kaohsiung, featuring over 300 exhibitors and a focus on industry advancement.

Ahead of the three-day event, the International Trade Administration held a procurement session yesterday (April 21) to link local producers with international buyers.

With the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) now operational, sustainability dominates the industry agenda. Delegates from key European fastener associations, Andreas Bertaggia, Gary Henderson, and Volker Lederer, are present to address new carbon regulations, supply chain traceability, and the rising need for low-carbon manufacturing. Their expertise helps Taiwanese firms navigate green requirements, particularly in the automotive and energy sectors, while opening new doors to European markets.

The International Trade Administration said that amid changing global trade, the government will provide exhibition and networking platforms to help manufacturers understand market trends and competitive advantages. It also encourages businesses to develop green supply chains and premium products to secure their place in the evolving global market.
