Danieli Corus acquires NewFer to expand steelmaking portfolio

Danieli Corus announced on December 4, 2025, that German company NewFer GmbH has become a full subsidiary, now operating as Danieli NewFer. This acquisition expands Danieli Corus's capabilities, adding expertise in iron ore beneficiation and pelletizing technology.

The move creates a comprehensive upstream portfolio for integrated steelmaking, combining NewFer’s technology with Danieli Corus’s global network.

This timing is critical because the steel industry is progressively seeking high-quality iron ore concentrates and increased pelletizing capacity to meet decarbonization goals. Danieli NewFer’s offerings focus on raising operational and thermal efficiency while reducing production costs.
