Recently, Hebei Iron & Steel Group’s Wugang Company successfully developed and rolled 297mm thick EH36 steel plates, totaling over 120 tons, which passed all performance tests.

These plates will be used in critical parts of a 5,600-ton fully rotating crane, supporting the construction of major national equipment. This ultra-thick, high-end steel product breaks the domestic production record for thick steel ingots and fills a domestic gap, marking a significant breakthrough in Wugang’s high-end offshore engineering steel capabilities.
