China's unwrought aluminum and aluminum products exports rise by over 10% in Jan-May

Newly released data from the General Administration of Customs of China reveals that China shipped out 632,000 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products in May. This monthly figure contributed to a total export volume of about 2.75 million tons during the first five months of the year, a 10.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

Conversely, copper imports showed a downward trend. In May, imports of unwrought copper and copper products reached 446,000 tons, bringing the January-May import total to about 2 million tons, a 7.0% year-on-year decline.

Additionally, China imported 2.36 million tons of copper ores and concentrates in May, with the five-month cumulative total dropping by 1.0% to 12.28 million tons.
