China's Baotou Steel has successfully rolled a 30mm industrial pure iron round bar on its bar production line, filling a gap in its product portfolio and further enhancing its long-products manufacturing capabilities.

Due to the soft nature of pure iron, the rolling process presented significant challenges in shape control and operational stability. Through optimized pass design, dedicated guides, precise temperature control, and upgraded inspection systems, the production team successfully overcame these technical difficulties.
