Brazil’s wire rod exports & imports plunge in Apr m-o-m

According to statistics from Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), Brazil’s wire rod exports totaled roughly 17,000 tons in April, plummeting by 50% compared to the preceding month.

Among them, exports were mainly to the US, with around 8,800 tons, followed by 8,100 tons to South American countries. The supply from ArcelorMittal accounted for the largest share, totaling roughly 12,000 tons.

During the same period, Brazil’s wire rod imports reached approximately 14,500 tons, a month-on-month drop of 53%. Among them, China was the biggest import source with 8,500 tons, and Egypt ranked second with 5,200 tons.
