Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) initiated a sunset review on anti-dumping (AD) duties applied to crude metallic magnesium from China, responding to a petition filed by domestic producer Rima Industrial S.A.

Classified under tariff codes 8104.11.00 and 8104.19.00 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM), the product faces a preliminary relative dumping margin of 120.9%. The review analyzes dumping from April 2025 to March 2026 and injury from April 2021 to March 2026.

Existing AD measures remain active throughout the proceeding, which authorities must complete within ten months. Identified interested parties have thirty days from notification to submit questionnaire responses.
