Baosteel, China’s leading steelmaker, announced a uniform price hike across its entire steel product catalog for August. Every category sees the same increase of CNY 50 per ton, effective immediately from the announcement date.

The adjustment applies to hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel, heavy plates, pickled coils, and wire rods. Coated products receive the identical CNY 50 hike, spanning hot-dip galvanized, electro-galvanized, galvalume, pre-painted steel, and zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel products.

The remaining steel products are subject to the same adjustment. This price hike also applies to non-oriented silicon steel, oriented silicon steel, bars, wire rods, seamless steel pipes, and welded steel pipes.
