Australia evaluates AD request on galvanized steel imports from Vietnam, South Korea

15 Apr 2026 14:54 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has received a formal application to initiate an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on galvanized steel imports from Vietnam and South Korea.

The request covers products classified under tariff codes 7210.49.00, 7212.30.00, 7225.92.00, and 7226.99.00.

The authority is currently reviewing the submitted data to determine if sufficient grounds exist to proceed with a formal case. Under the Australian law, the Commission must decide on the initiation of the investigation by April 20, 2026. This review process introduces potential regulatory risks for exporters in the targeted regions as they await the official determination later this month.
