Aperam raises European stainless steel alloy surcharges for Oct

Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, raised the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for October.

The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was hiked to EUR 1,881/ton from September’s EUR 1,875/ton; that for 316L (1.4404) was increased to EUR 3,283/ton from EUR 3,213/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 2,522/ton, compared to EUR 2,515/ton in September; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was decreased to EUR 812/ton from the previous month’s EUR 826/ton.

The new surcharge will be applicable on October 1, 2025.
