AISI: US raw steel production in week ending July 11 increases y-o-y

American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) data shows domestic raw steel production reached 1.84 million net tons for the week ending July 11, 2026, with factories operating at a 79.7% capability utilization rate. This output represents a 3.9% increase compared to the 1.771 million net tons produced during the same week in 2025, when utilization stood at 78.2%.

Weekly volume dropped by 0.9% from the previous week ending July 4, 2026, which recorded 1.856 million net tons.

Adjusted year-to-date production through July 11, 2026, reached 49.952 million net tons, maintaining a 78.8% utilization rate. This cumulative volume is 5.9% higher than the 47.171 million net tons recorded during the same period last year.
