According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ending August 2, 2025, the production of US’ raw steel totaled 1.782 million net tons, increasing by 0.3% from the same period a week ago and rising by 4.5% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 78.7%, rising by 0.3 percentage points week on week and hiking by 1.9 percentage points year on year.

As of the week ending August 2, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date production of US’ raw steel has amounted to 52.346 million net tons, slightly rising by 1.1% compared to the prior-year level. The capacity utilization rate was 76.4%, up by 0.2 percentage points year on year.
