India finalizes decision to levy AD duties on welded stainless pipes from Vietnam & Thailand

7 Nov 2024 15:05 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The Indian government decided to impose a five-year anti-dumping (AD) duty on welded stainless steel pipes and tubes from Vietnam and Thailand, accepting the recommendations from the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) that the subject products were being sold in the Indian market at harmful pricing and therefore injuring the domestic industry.

The AD duty rate is in the range of US$246 to 307 per ton, with a specific duty rate based on the producer and country of origin.

The period of the investigation spans from April 2022 to March 2023.

The investigation was launched based on a complaint submitted by domestic stainless steel pipes and tubes manufacturers associations.
