On June 22, 2022, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued an announcement that it has launched an accelerated review of the anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) measures on China’s aluminum extrusions, following an application submitted by a new exporter, Dashiqiao Hengyuan Aluminum Products Co., Ltd., on June 1, 2022.

The period for the accelerated review was set from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

The products involved are classified under Australian customs codes 7604.10.00.06, 7604.21.00.07, 7604.21.00.08, 7604.29.00.09, 7604.29.00.10, 7608.10.00.09, 7608.20.00.10, 7610.10.00.12 and 7610.90.00.13.

The recommendation must be made by the Commission no later than September 9, 2022.

Before the review is completed, Australia will impose interim AD and CVD duties in form of securities on subject goods, calculated based on the combination duty method and a proportion of the export price, respectively.

The commencement date of this accelerated review is June 1, 2022.
