US cuts AD duty rate on oil pipelines from South Korea

22 Sep 2020 15:55 reported by Judy Lin

A A A
It was reported that the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has halved the anti-dumping (AD) tariffs on oil pipeline products from South Korea. The duty rate ranged from 4.23% to 9.24%, which was much lower than the proposed rate up to 18.77% in 2018.

It was the adjustment after the US Court of International Trade (CIT) requested Washington to reduce the duties in January after the complaints from South Korean steelmakers.

The AD duty rate for Hyundai Steel was at 9.24%, that for SeAH Steel was 4.23%, and that for other South Korean steelmakers was set at 6.74%.
