Anglo American releases Q4 2024 production report with 2025 copper production guidance

Anglo American plc has released its fourth-quarter 2024 production report, showcasing the production performance of copper, iron ore, and nickel. 

Copper production stood at 198,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14% but a quarter-on-quarter increase of 9%; annual production was 773,000 tons, down 6% year-on-year.

Iron ore production reached 14.3 million tons, up 4% year-on-year but down 9% quarter-on-quarter; annual production was 60.8 million tons, a 1% decrease from the previous year. 

Nickel production was 10,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10% but a quarter-on-quarter increase of 1%; annual production was 39,400 tons, down 2% year-on-year. 

Additionally, the company has issued copper production guidance for 2025, forecasting output to be between 690,000 and 750,000 tons.
