On November 1, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) started the first sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) duty on carbon and alloy steel threaded rods from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as the first sunset review of countervailing duty (CVD) on the same products from China and India, to determine whether the revocation of the existing AD and CVD orders on the subject products would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

On November 4, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced the launch of the first AD sunset review on the subject products from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as the first CVD sunset review on the same products from China and India.

The interested parties should file their responses to the USITC on or before the deadline of December 2, 2024, and the comments on the adequacy of responses should be filed by January 2, 2025.
