Japan's Nidec to invest $23 million to expand Mexican factory

Japanese multinational Nidec Corporation, an electric motor manufacturer, announced that it will expand its operations at its factory in Reynosa, a border city in Tamaulipas state. The expansion will cost US$23 million.

This is the second expansion of the plant since its establishment in 1995. The first expansion in 2019 involved an investment of US$25 million.

The company did not announce a start date for the production expansion but said it would create 384 jobs.
