Turkish CRC imports decline in Q1 y-o-y

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March, Turkey imported about 68,000 tons of cold-rolled coils (CRC), increasing by 46.1% compared with the previous month, yet decreasing by 8.5% year on year.

Meanwhile, according to statistics, from January to March, Turkey imported about 156,000 tons of cold-rolled coils, 22.1% less than the same period last year. The whole value of these imported products was summed as US$123.09 million, decreasing by 19.3% year on year. South Korea was the country that sold the most cold-rolled coils (about 42,000 tons) to Turkey in the first quarter, followed by Russia (about 35,000 tons) and China (about 25,000 tons).
