Taiwan’s major stainless steel mills Yusco & Tang Eng keep revenue growing

Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, posted a revenue of around NT$3.46 billion in January, hiking from NT$3.35 billion in December 2023 but falling from NT$4.11 billion in the same month a year ago.

Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd. (Tang Eng), another major stainless steel manufacturer in Taiwan, reported that its revenue in January was NT$934 million, surging from NT$730 million in the previous month and NT$794 million in January last year.

In spite of the overall weak stainless steel market, Yusco and Tang Eng kept their revenues, holding the revenues growing for two consecutive months. The stable revenues should be due to downstream buyers’ higher willingness to purchase amid the low steel prices.
