Walsin Lihwa, a leading stainless steel wire rod manufacturer in Taiwan, announced to raise its new prices for stainless steel wire rods for October.

For domestic sales, the price of 304 was up by NT$6,000/ton, 400 series’ price was up by NT$1,000/ton, 200 series’ price increased by NT$2,000/ton, and 316 was hiked by NT$8,000/ton. For export sales, 304, 400 series, 200 series, and 316 products will be subject to a price increase of US$200/ton, US$30/ton, US$60/ton, and US$250/ton, respectively.

Walsin Lihwa said that both domestic and foreign upstream mills have raised their prices successively due to the sharp depreciation of the Taiwan dollar and higher raw material prices. Considering the international competitiveness of downstream buyers, Walsin Lihwa only reflected the cost moderately.
