Vale’s S11D iron ore exports rise in Q1 2019 y-o-y

According to the statistics, the exports of iron ore from S11D, an iron ore mining project in the state of Pará undertaken by Vale, totaled around 15.9 million tons in the first quarter, which was up by 41% compared to the same period a year ago. The export value was US$798 million, a year-on-year increase of 41%.

S11D is an iron ore mine which was invested with US$14.3 billion and was put into operation in December 2016. The mine officially firstly exported its iron ore in January 2017, with a volume of 27,000 tons roughly.
