Due to the weak domestic market demand and the global high price level of stainless steel coils and sheets, the import of these items declined to 37,589 tons in June, down by 6 percent from May.

Under the low market buying mood, it is difficult for mills to release the current stocks.

According to the latest customs data, the imports shows a downward trend. The import of stainless steel hot rolled coils reached 25,584 tons and the export totaled 25,793 tons, increased by 35 percent.

For cold rolled products, the import amount was 12,005 tons, decreased by 5 percent, while the export is 45,451 tons, down by 24 percent. There is a significantly decline of CRC exports.
